Purpose & Guidelines
Purpose:
1. Connecting Leaders and Encouraging UnityTo unite Christian leaders from diverse traditions and backgrounds, fostering collaboration, unity, and a spirit of brotherhood and sisterhood in pursuit of shared goals, while respecting doctrinal differences.
2. Having a Strong VoiceTo build a united and visible Christian immigrant presence that speaks confidently with one voice, secures fair representation in decision-making spaces, and helps shape policies that reflect Christian values.
3. Bridging International and Native ChurchesTo serve as a bridge between native Finnish churches and international, multicultural congregations, promoting cooperation, and strengthening the overall Christian community in Finland.
4. Training, Guidance, and Practical SupportTo provide training, guidance, mediation, prayer, and practical information related to ministry, leadership, education, registration, legal, and life in Finland, as well as access to relevant resources for those in need.
5. Facilitating Gatherings and EventsTo organize and facilitate gatherings and events that create opportunities for networking, connection, joint celebrations, cultural exchange, and worshiping the Lord together in unity and harmony.
6. ApologeticsTo identify and address heresies while safeguarding the true doctrines of the Christian faith, defending biblical beliefs through clear and faithful teaching, and correcting false doctrines that conflict with Scripture.
7. Supporting Evangelism and Prayer MinistriesTo encourage and support evangelistic activities, promote church revival and healthy growth, and cultivate strong prayer, ensuring an effective and successful network.
Guidelines:
The common guidelines are the shared principles, rules, and standards that govern the activities of the IICL Network, ensuring peaceful, cooperative, and healthy relationships among its members. The guiding principle of the network is unity, standing together, offering mutual support, speaking with one voice, and addressing any issues collectively as one people of God, in the spirit of brotherhood/sisterhood for common goals.
- As the network members come from different Christian denominations, all must honor core Christian beliefs, respect each other’s traditions, and work toward unity based on shared doctrinal understanding.
- The IICL Network is politically neutral and respects members’ political affiliations.
- Every member has the right to participate in all network meetings and contribute to decision-making.
- The official working language of the network is English; translations will be provided when necessary.
- The co-chairpersons shall serve as the network’s official representatives and oversee all its activities.
- The IICL Network operates independently while partnering with like-minded Christian organizations.
- The network mainly relies on members’ venues, premises, and other resources to carry out its activities.
